More Information

The main switchgear room’s multiple multi-conduit duct banks and nine new maintenance holes were installed from the central utility plant. Additionally, Nova Electrical replaced outdated emergency switchgear slated for disposal with new emergency switchgear and five new external 15 KV to 480-volt transformers for the main building. It took meticulous planning to install this new emergency switchgear with all new feeders. The existing ATS-A through ATS-I emergency feeds were carefully planned to prevent outage changeovers from impairing essential hospital operations. The last feed had to be left in place until it could be securely removed before a brand-new fire pump feed could be installed. Utilizing space-specific designs, the project was finished in five months.
