This Project Consists of an approximate 8,500 square foot lounge facility, located inside the Dulles Airport Main Terminal, post Security, at the base of the Historic Air Traffic Control Tower. This Space once housed two restaurants and a food court for the traveling public before it was sealed off in the new construction of the Aero Train and new Pre-check security lanes 50-55.
With only a week to mobilize and start construction, Nova Electrical collaborated with IAD-Capital One Lounge Fit-Out to complete a significant data center installation for Aligned Energy. The base building of a 370,000-square-foot data center’s first construction phase required electrical installation. Nova Electrical completed the structure of the mechanical foundation for a 12 MW critical load, 12 unit substations, lighting and power for the base building, and electricity for mechanical and essential equipment in 2 MMR data rooms in under five months. Due to the tight timeframe for the project, full BIM coordination was needed both during the installation of the infrastructure and after the other trades had finished their coordination.
