American University-Roper Hall hired Nova Electrical to equip its new 60,000-square-foot data center with a complete electrical infrastructure, switchgear, and electrical rooms. Nova Electrical also had to excavate around the structure while avoiding disrupting existing underground utilities, in addition to Nova Electrical distribution to the entire building. To secure the 2.5 MW data center’s continuous power supply, the project also needed the installation of four diesel-powered backup generators and a UPS system. To guarantee that the project was on schedule and finished to the client’s requirements, the Nova Electrical team worked nearly 19,000 hours throughout the six-month construction schedule.
